Right now you’re sitting at home, and you’re close to flying on your dream vacation. But wait! You didn’t get vaccinated! That… that could be a big problem.
If you’re looking to travel the world, first you’ll need to travel to a local doctor to get your vaccinations done. It may seem like a no-brainer, but many travellers forget about vaccinations, or simply procrastinate until it’s too late.

Not only is Christ the Redeemer one of the most iconic statues in the world, it also gives you an incredible look out over Rio de Janeiro. Tough luck that you won’t be able to see those views because you couldn’t be bothered to get vaccinated before travelling.
Rumor has it that the commissioner of the Taj Mahal, Shah Jahan, cut off the thumbs of the builders so that they could never build something as beautiful again. Instead of saying Namaste to India, you said “nah imma stay at home because I didn’t get vaccinated.”

Getting vaccinated before travelling is very easy! All you have to do is find a local doctor and book an appointment.
If you don’t know what vaccinations you need, fear not! Your doctor should be very equipped to answer those sorts of questions. If you’re curious, though, the CDC has a comprehensive list of every vaccine that is required or recommended for entry to any country on earth. You can find that here.
One important thing to keep in mind is that some vaccinations require multiple visits over several weeks! So if you’re planning on travelling in the next several months, you should make sure you get on top of your required and recommended vaccinations immediately!

Check the CDC’s Travel Health Notices page before deciding to travel abroad
Make sure to have a stash of antibiotics for emergencies, such as food poisoning. We can prescribe you these antibiotics as well.
Make sure your passport is not expired or expiring within 6 months. For some countries, they won’t allow you in if your passport’s expiration is impending.
Do research on visas. If the country you are travelling to requires a visa to enter, make sure you don’t get turned away!
Ask your physician what vaccines you need. They’re the experts!
